I am glad your existence hasn’t faltered due to small rooms. That would be terrible and Michelle and I would be so sad and lonely. Not to mention we’d have to find yet another roommate, and you know as well as I that that is no fun.
9 more days!!! I hope you have a swell time at the beach. I want to see the Mediterranean!!! I expect to see lots of pictures. And maybe bring back a rock. =P Just kidding.

So I left two comments on the Fourth of July but Michelle says they don’t show up when she looks (even though I can see them when I click on the comments thing). This is another comment to say hi once more and test out if it will show up. That is all.

Also, HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!!
I hope you and helen are parading around Deutschland dressed completely in red, white, and blue, waving around mini American flags and singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the top of your lungs and being as obnoxiously American as you can be. And if you are, I want pictures of the faces of the angry people throwing stuff at you guys as you walk through the streets.
Oh, but most importantly, even more than the singing of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” you absolutely HAVE to sing, “Proud to Be an American.” Maybe burst out in the middle of dinner at a restaurant or something, and certainly stand at attention at the line, “and I’ll gladly stand up!” I’ll keep my eye out for you guys on the news.
Michelle and I are going to try and find fireworks to watch somewhere tonight. I’ll send you and Helen images of them with the shining so you won’t despair too much at being absent from your dear, dear homeland on it’s birthday.
